Communication Science

How does the media influence our opinions, our behavior, and society? Why do we use certain media and what effect does it have on us?

The Communication Science Bachelor’s program deals with these and other exciting questions. The focus is on public communication, whether in politics, business, journalism, or social media. You will learn how communication is scientifically investigated, analyze media processes with theoretical models, and at the same time gain insights into practice through project work and cooperation with external partners. You can set your own specialization, for example in media psychology, political communication, or online communication. If you want to understand how media works and how it shapes our world, this versatile and practical degree program is just right for you.

I was immediately impressed by the versatility of the degree program. It offers me the opportunity to immerse myself in so many different aspects of the media and communications world. I can learn theoretical basics as well as gain practical experience and analyze current media phenomena. This interdisciplinary approach gives me the opportunity to recognize my strengths and develop them in a targeted manner for my professional future while I'm still studying.
