If you want to study at a university in Baden-Württemberg, you need a general or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification ("Abitur"). However, there are still routes to university for prospective students without an Abitur.
Which path is possible for you personally depends on your previous educational background.

Please make an appointment for a counselling interview with the Central Student Counselling Center in good time. Proof of the counselling interview must be submitted by the application deadline. Subsequent submission is not possible. Missing proof will result in exclusion from the application process.
Study options: You will receive a university entrance qualification which states that you are qualified to study at any university in Baden-Württemberg that corresponds to your vocational training and professional experience (subject-specific university entrance qualification).

Please submit the complete documents to the Registrar's Office at the University of Hohenheim. The Registrar's Office will then register you for the aptitude test.
The aptitude test is carried out centrally by the International Study Centre of the University of Heidelberg. From there you will receive the examination dates, further information on preparing for the examination and, if you pass the aptitude test, your authorisation to study.
You do not yet have a place in a degree program!
If you are eligible to study, please apply online by the deadline for a place in your chosen degree program.
Prospective students with an entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification can gain access to an undergraduate degree program at universities in Baden-Württemberg to which the school-leaving qualification does not otherwise entitle them by successfully passing a delta examination (LHG §58).
The delta examination is intended to bridge the "delta" between the school leaving certificate and the desired degree program. It lasts 185 minutes (pure examination time, without breaks) and consists of the following five groups of tasks:

The University of Hohenheim only accepts the delta exam taken at the University of Mannheim.
The certificates for the delta exam are sent out by the University of Mannheim in mid-June of the year. This makes it possible to apply for a study place for the winter semester of the year.
The certificates and their verification are only issued by the respective university when applying for a study place. Passing the delta exam alone is therefore not sufficient for an application.
The delta exam does not replace additional subject-specific aptitude tests, which are required by some universities.

Prospective students with an entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or a subject-restricted higher education entrance qualification who have successfully completed an undergraduate degree program are entitled to study all subject areas at universities in Baden-Württemberg (LHG §58(8)).
Example 1:
You have a subject-specific university entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife) and have successfully completed a Bachelor's degree program at a university of applied sciences (Fachhochschule).
This means you are qualified to study at the University of Hohenheim and you can apply for a place in a Bachelor's degree program (as a second degree program) or a Master's degree program.
Example 2:
You have a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife) which entitles you to study “Business Administration and/or Economics” and a successfully completed Bachelor's degree in “Business Administration” at a university of applied sciences.
This means that you can also apply for a place on a non-subject-related Bachelor's degree program at the University of Hohenheim, such as Biology or Nutritional Science.
Prospective students who have successfully completed one year of study at a university in another federal state are entitled to pursue an undergraduate degree program in the same or a corresponding subject area at a university of the same type in Baden-Württemberg.
Example:
You have an entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences (Fachhochschulen) and are studying at a university (Universität) in Hesse because admission to university is possible there with an entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences. If you have successfully completed a year of business studies at the university in Hesse, this entitles you to study for a Bachelor's degree in economics at the University of Hohenheim.

The University of Hohenheim does not send admission and rejection letters for the 1first semester by post. Please download your notification in your inbox in the HohCampus application portal yourself. In the letter of admission you will find the deadline for enrollment.
