A multiple degree is the ideal route if you want to study internationally and improve your career prospects at the same time.
In a multiple degree program (also known as a double degree program), you study at two universities – partly at your home university and partly at a renowned partner university abroad. At the end, you will receive two recognized degrees – one from each university.

In contrast to a semester abroad, your stay abroad is firmly planned in the course of your studies. This means that you don't have to submit anything at a later date or have your coursework and exams reviewed to see if they can be recognized. This will help you stay on schedule and complete your studies as planned.

The double Bachelor’s program in Business Administration and Economics with a profile in International Business & Economics offers you a sound introduction to business administration and economics, social sciences, mathematics, and statistics in the first two academic years at the University of Hohenheim. You will also complete a compulsory language module in business French (level C1) in the 2nd semester to prepare you for your studies in Belgium.
At the HEC Liège Management School, you will then deepen your knowledge in an intercultural and multilingual environment, learn to look at economic contexts from a new perspective, and complete your studies with a Bachelor’s thesis.
Upon successful completion, you will receive two full university degrees:

The International Management profile is part of the Triple Bachelor’s program and is a joint range of courses offered by the Universities of Hohenheim (Germany), Liège (Belgium), and Strasbourg (France). The program comprises a one-year study visit at each of the three universities and is aimed at high-achieving, motivated, and internationally oriented students. The order of the stations abroad has not yet been finalized for the program start in 2026/27.
The Triple Bachelor’s program in Business Administration and Economics provides you with a sound introduction to business administration and economics, social sciences, mathematics, statistics, and the languages of instruction in the first two years in Germany and abroad. In the final academic year, you will deepen your knowledge in the field of International Management with a strong practical and applied focus.

As a student of the Hohenheim Management Master (HMM), you have the opportunity to complete your second academic year at the HEC Liège Management School of the University of Liège in the Master en Sciences de Gestion. You will get to know your Belgian fellow students at the start of your studies, as they also spend their first Master’s year in Hohenheim.
The first year of studies
In addition to the basic modules (18 ECTS), you will take at least four modules (24 ECTS) from your respective specialization area. In addition, depending on the specialization, up to three modules (12–18 ECTS) can be freely selected from the overall curriculum. For the 2nd semester, we recommend attending a seminar module (6 ECTS) in the specialization area, but attendance is not mandatory for you.
The second year of studies
Your third semester will take place in Liège. In addition to the compulsory courses, you will take a language module and select further modules from your area of specialization. In Liège you also have the opportunity to gain practical experience. An internship (9 ECTS) is a compulsory part of the curriculum and should last at least 10 weeks full-time. This is part of the fourth semester and includes a written report and an oral defense in Liège. Also part of the fourth semester is the Master’s thesis (16 ECTS), which is either written according to the guidelines and regulations in Hohenheim under the primary supervisor of a Hohenheim department and additional support from Liège – or vice versa.

Good German and English language skills are important, as some events in Hohenheim are held exclusively in German and the events at the partner universities are held exclusively in English (or French, if applicable).
In Hohenheim, only the Finance specialization can be studied entirely in English.
Università Ca'Foscari di Venezia | Italy

As a student of the specialization Marketing & Management in the HMM program, you have the opportunity to complete your second academic year at the Università Ca'Foscari di Venezia in the Laurea Magistrale in International Management.
The first year of studies
In addition to the basic area (18 ECTS), you will take three compulsory modules from the area of Marketing & Management (18 ECTS) and four further modules (24 ECTS). The selection of the modules is made according to the equivalency list for courses in Venice and Hohenheim. The selection of other courses in Venice (36 ECTS) is also made according to the equivalency list.
The second year of studies
In addition to the modules you choose (36 ECTS), an integrated internship (9 ECTS) and the preparation of the Master’s thesis (15 ECTS) are planned. The professors in Venice will supervise your Master’s thesis, which you will present to a commission as part of a final examination.

Note: When choosing this program, you should be aware that the choice of modules is very limited and that the curriculum dictates a strict schedule. The program also has a specialist focus on international management, which means that it differs slightly from the specialization in Marketing & Management at Hohenheim.
The entire double Master's program can be studied in English – both in Hohenheim and at the partner university in Italy.

As a student of the Master’s program in International Business and Economics (IBE), you have the opportunity to complete your second academic year at the HEC Liège Management School of the University of Liège in the Master en Sciences de Gestion. You will get to know your Belgian fellow students at the start of your studies, as they also spend their first Master’s year in Hohenheim.
The first year of studies
In addition to the basic modules (24 ECTS), you will take at least four modules (18 ECTS) from your respective specialization area (Innovation Management and Economics, International Economics, or Data Analytics). In addition, at least one module (6 ECTS) is chosen from the Finance area, and the remaining 12 ECTS can be chosen from the overall curriculum. For the 2nd semester, we recommend attending a seminar module (6 ECTS), but attendance is not mandatory for you.
The second year of studies
Your third semester will take place in Liège. In addition to the compulsory courses, you will take a language module and select one additional module from your area of specialization (Banking and Asset Management). In Liège you also have the opportunity to gain practical experience. An internship (9 ECTS) is a compulsory part of the curriculum and should last at least 10 weeks full-time. This is part of the fourth semester and includes a written report and an oral defense in Liège. Also part of the fourth semester is the Master’s thesis (16 ECTS), which is either written according to the guidelines and regulations in Hohenheim under the primary supervisor of a Hohenheim department and additional support from Liège – or vice versa.

As a student of the Master’s program in International Business and Economics (IBE), you have the opportunity to complete your second academic year at Università di Pavia.
The first year of studies
The program structure is based on the structure of the IBE program. In addition to the basics of Business Administration and Economics (24 ECTS), you will choose two specializations of at least 18 ECTS each – as well as additional elective modules to develop your individual profile. For the 2nd semester, we recommend attending a seminar module (6 ECTS), but attendance is not mandatory for you.
The second year of studies
In addition to the basic modules (9 ECTS), you will take further modules from your specializations. In Italy you also have the opportunity to gain practical experience (internship, 6 ECTS). The professors in Pavia will supervise your Master’s thesis, which you will present as part of your studies at the Università di Pavia.

Liège (Lüttich) has a population of around 200,000 and is the economic and cultural center of Wallonia, the French-speaking region of Belgium. Our partner for the triple and double degree programs is the HEC Management School of the Université de Liège, which is based there. It was created in 2005 from the merger of the Management and Economics Department of the University of Liège (founded in 1817) and the HEC Hautes Etudes Commerciales de Liège (founded in 1898).
Strasbourg is the seat of many European institutions and has almost 290,000 inhabitants. Our local partner of the Triple Bachelor’s program, the EM Strasbourg Business School of the Université de Strasbourg, has been one of the Grandes Écoles in France since 2000, making it one of the country’s most renowned educational institutions. It was created in 2007 from a merger of the Institut d'enseignement commercial supérieur (founded in 1919) and the Institut d'administration des entreprises of the Université de Strasbourg (founded in 1538).
The University of Pavia is one of the oldest and most renowned universities in Italy. It combines a centuries-old academic tradition with modern research and an international focus. Students benefit from a lively campus life, a historic city with Mediterranean flair and excellent study conditions in an inspiring environment.
The Università Ca' Foscari di Venezia is located in the heart of Venice and is one of Italy’s leading universities in the fields of economics, management, and languages. The application is completed during the online application for the regular single degree program (B.Sc. Business Administration and Economics).
The admission requirements and selection criteria of the single degree program apply.
It is not possible to apply for a multiple degree option in a higher subject-related semester.
The selection procedure for the multiple degree programs is done parallel to the admission procedure. Applicants are thus informed before enrollment whether they will receive a place on a multiple degree program.
When applying for the Bachelor’s degree program, you can also indicate whether you would like to apply for the double or triple Bachelor’s program. Be prepared to upload documentation of specific language skills (see requirements above) at this point.
Tuition fees must be paid for the entire duration of your studies in Hohenheim (your home university), program participants are exempt from tuition fees at the partner university – however, insurance and administrative fees may still be charged at the partner university.

The application procedure for the double Master’s programs is integrated into the admission procedure for the Hohenheim Master’s degree programs(Management, International Business and Economics or Economics with Data Science) and therefore has two stages.
It is not possible to apply for a multiple degree in a higher subject-related semester.
Stage 1: Application for Master’s degree program
Requirement: As a first step, it is important that you submit the complete application documents for your chosen Master’s in Management, International Business and Economics, or Economics with Data Science by the deadline. Only then is participation in the selection procedure possible.
Online application: When applying for the Master’s degree program, you can also indicate which double Master’s program you would like to apply for. Be prepared to upload a letter of motivation at this point.
Stage 2: Double Master’s Programs
Congratulations! As soon as you have been admitted to the Master’s degree program, you will automatically take part in the second step of the selection procedure for double Master’s programs.
Selection procedure: The selection is made on the basis of the application documents submitted and is based on the rankings of the admission list for the corresponding Master’s degree program. Selection interviews only take place in individual cases.
Don’t worry, the waiting time is not too long! Before your enrollment at Hohenheim, you will be informed whether you will be studying in the normal Master’s program or as part of a double Master’s program. A waiting list is maintained depending on the number of applicants.
Application documents for double Master’s programs
Letter of motivation: In addition to the usual documents, you must also include a one- to two-page letter of motivation with your application. Please let us know your preferred double Master’s program and your preferred specialization. Have you already gained experience abroad and intercultural skills? Great! Please tell us about your previous experience in your letter of motivation!
Proof of language skills: As an applicant for the double Master’s programs, you must provide proof of a B2 level of English.
If you already have knowledge of the relevant national language, this is of course an advantage, but not a prerequisite for your application.
