Agricultural Biology

How will we feed the world in the future? How can food be produced in an environment of climate change, loss of biodiversity, and resource scarcity?

The Bachelor’s degree program in Agricultural Biology deals with these and other exciting questions about efficient, sustainable, and safe agricultural production. Here you will study at the interface of biology and agricultural sciences and look at the biological systems of plants, animals, and soil in the agricultural sector. In order to optimize future agricultural production, you will learn what happens on a cellular and molecular level when plants and animals adapt to changing environmental conditions. If you want to help secure the food of tomorrow and develop innovative solutions, then the research-oriented degree program in Agricultural Biology is the right choice for you.

After the first-class campus initially attracted me here, I was completely won over by the comprehensive range of modules on offer at the University of Hohenheim. In Agricultural Biology in particular, all doors are open in terms of the choice of subjects: whether biologically oriented teaching in Botany, Zoology and Microbiology or more “practical” areas such as Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Livestock Science, or Economics, there are no limits for students in the specialization study period.”
