If you are not sure whether your degree is classified as “above average,” you can ask your examinations office to issue a ranking list indicating your position compared to your fellow students who graduated in the same year as you.

If your university does not issue ranking lists, you can ask one of your professors to write a letter of recommendation comparing your academic performance with that of your fellow students and ideally stating whether you are in the top 10%, top 20%, etc. of your cohort.

There are also other ways to compensate for a below-average degree. See the following point.

No, we do not. Ask the person writing your letter of recommendation to print it on official university letterhead, stating his/her name, position, and contact details. The letter must be signed and ideally bear the seal of the university.

Letters of recommendation that do not meet these requirements will not be accepted.

Alternatively, you can ask your examinations office to fill in this ranking list template. 

Particular aptitude must be documented if your academic background is not clearly suitable for the degree program or if your final grade is not above average.

You can provide documentation as follows:

• Persuasive letter of motivation (maximum one page and in English)
• Letter of recommendation from a professor (see previous point)
• Documentation of relevant practical experience or further education (employment contract, job reference, certificates, etc.)

Please upload a maximum of two letters of recommendation (merged into one pdf document). Additional letters will not be considered.

However, other documentation of particular aptitude can be uploaded.

Yes, unless you are a citizen of one of the following countries: United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United States of America, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Belize, or Guyana.

OR if you have completed a university degree in one of the above-mentioned countries or in the European Union (with English as the language of instruction throughout the degree program).

If this is not the case, you must submit a TOEFL ibt, IELTS academic, or Duolingo test result.

Yes, that is possible. Simply upload your current transcript of records (complete list of grades for all courses you have taken in all semesters of your studies). You can submit your final degree certificate or at least documentation that you have completed your Bachelor’s degree by 15 December of the year in which you start your studies in Hohenheim.

If you miss the application deadline (15 June), there is usually no possibility for you send in a late application! So please make sure that you submit your application in good time and contact the academic program advisor directly if you have any questions.

Please log in to the application portal for further details. It usually means that a document is missing or that you do not meet the formal admission requirements. As a rule, the missing documents must be submitted before the application deadline.
