Your application for the Master’s program in Agricultural Sciences with a major in Agricultural Engineering

To apply for the Master’s program in Agricultural Sciences with a major in Agricultural Engineering, simply check the admission requirements and then apply online through the HohCampus application portal by the application deadline. The application portal opens for applications for the winter semester in mid-April and for the summer semester in mid-December.

How to apply

Apply online via the HohCampus application portal for the Master’s degree program in Agricultural Engineering and upload the application documents in the application portal. There you can also check the status of your application at any time.

Admission requirements

  • An above-average Bachelor’s degree in agricultural sciences, natural sciences, mechanical engineering, or a related degree program from a university in Germany or abroad, or from a university of applied sciences, with a standard period of study of at least 3 years or a degree that is at least equivalent (180 ECTS total).
  • If their final grade or average grade for this degree is not above average (2.5 or better in the German grading system), the applicant must also prove their particular aptitude for the degree program (can be proven with a letter of recommendation, completed vocational training or professional experience, extraordinary social volunteer work, or a letter of motivation).
  • Applicants without a university entrance qualification or a Bachelor’s degree in German must provide proof of German language proficiency at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

  • Your university entrance qualification (e.g., Abitur, A-levels, high school diploma)
  • Bachelor’s certificate and transcript of records
  • Proof of German language proficiency (only if you have not completed a German university entrance qualification)
  • Optional: Proof of special aptitude for the degree program, documentation of an above-average degree, letter of motivation
