Your application for the Master’s in Economics with Data Science

How to apply

Apply online via the HohCampus application portal for the Master’s degree program in Economics with Data Science and upload the application documents in the application portal. There you can also check the status of your application at any time.

Admission requirements

Formal requirements:

  • a Bachelor's degree in business and economic sciences or a related subject with a standard period of study of at least 3 years and a final grade of 2.5 or better (German grading scale)

Applicants who have obtained a Bachelor's degree outside the European Union, Iceland, or Norway must have either:

  • a GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) Focus Edition score of at least 555 points, including at least 78 points in Quantitative Reasoning
     
  • a GRE score (Graduate Record Examination Test) of at least 300 points, including at least 150 points in the area of Quantitative Reasoning
  • proof of English language skills 

    (TOEFL (internet based): 90 points or IELTS: 6 or UNIcert: II (“good”) or Cambridge Business English Certificate (BEC): CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) or German university entrance qualification (HZB): In the higher level (Oberstufe) at least four semesters of English were taken. Average grade (excluding a separate Abitur examination) at least 8 points or completion of an English-language Bachelor’s degree program or English as a native language)

  • University entrance qualification
  • Transcript of records
  • English test result
  • APS certificate (only for applicants from China, Vietnam, and Mongolia)
  • GMAT/GRE test result (only for applicants who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree outside the European Union, Iceland, or Norway)

Documents that are not in German or English in the original must be translated into either German or English.
