Your application for the Master’s program in International Business and Economics

To apply for the Master’s program in International Business and Economics, simply check the admission requirements and then apply online through the HohCampus application portal by the application deadline.

To the 1st subject-related semester

  • Winter semester: 15 May
  • Summer semester: not possible

For a higher subject-related semester

  • Winter semester: 15 May
  • Summer semester: 15 January

How to apply

Apply online via the HohCampus application portal for the Master's degree program in International Business and Economics and upload the application documents in the application portal. There you can also check the status of your application at any time.

Admission requirements

  • Completed Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Economics or degree in the fields of business administration, management, and economics of at least 6 semesters from a domestic or foreign university or in an equivalent degree program.
  • English language proficiency (proof of TOEFL, IELTS, or secondary school diploma, except for applicants whose native language is English and applicants who have completed an English-only degree program).

You must upload the following application documents during the online application process:

Please upload scanned versions of your documents in German or English. If the original document is not in English, we require a scanned version of a certified translation in German or English. The originals of all documents must be presented at the time of enrollment.

The following documents are required:

  • Bachelor's degree certificate in the fields of Business Administration and Economics, Management, or Economics
  • Academic transcript of records stating the average grade/points
  • Proof of English language proficiency
  • Results of the study aptitude test (optional)
  • APS certificate (only for applicants from China, Vietnam, and India) 

Study aptitude test (optional)

  • As part of the application process, you can improve your chances for a place in the program with a GMAT, GRE, or GTEBS test
  • The result (percent ranking) for the subject-specific aptitude test is weighted with 40%
  • Please enter the University of Hohenheim or the IBE program on the tests so that we can see and review the results
