If you want to develop an understanding of biological systems and the importance of preserving the diversity of species in our natural world and take this knowledge further into society, then a research-oriented degree in Biology is the right choice for you.

The B.Sc. program Biology offers students an extensive education in the fundamentals of natural science, as well as a close look at various exciting areas in the field of biology. Apart from theoretical knowledge transfer, a very important part of the program is learning how to put things into practice. Peter Walentek studied Biology at the University of Hohenheim. Because he was enthusiastic about research, he then decided to do a doctorate at the Institute of Zoology. Today he works as a group leader at the ZBSA Zentrum für Biosystemanalyse at Medical Center - University of Freiburg.
