The University of Hohenheim offers a wide range of programs for pupils and schools to get to know studying, research, and university life at an early stage. Whether Girls' or Boys' Day, research summer camp, BOGY internships, taster courses, school labs, or visiting programmes for school classes, the programs provide practical insights into science, study opportunities, and different professional fields, both on campus and directly at schools.

Get to know the university!

Want to know what it’s really like at a university? Then come to a taster session! Get active yourself, look behind the scenes, experiment, and discover what you enjoy. There is plenty to experience here: Workshops, internships, lectures, and taster sessions enable pupils of all ages to get their first taste of research, get to know exciting professional fields, and gain insights into the world of science.

Boys' Day

On Boys’ Day, male school students can attend exciting workshops at the University of Hohenheim and discover the many different professions and fields of study behind the scenes at a university.

Class meets university!

We support schools and teachers with a wide range of educational offerings for their students. Our programs promote education in the areas of Natural Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Economics and Social Sciences, while also helping with professions and study orientation.

We offer numerous opportunities to make lessons exciting and optimally prepare pupils for their future.

HoLa Science - Learning lab

The Hohenheim teaching and learning laboratory showcases practical experiments, exciting research questions, and interactive learning formats. The content is specifically geared towards the curriculum of secondary levels I and II.

Program for visiting schools

The Student Counselling Center at the University of Hohenheim visits schools in the region. Information days, talks on study opportunities, and parents’ evenings on career and study orientation are offered.

BEST Training

The two-day BEST training supports students in their self-exploration and in getting to know the higher education landscape in order to make an informed choice of studies and career.

Research, understand, discuss: videos for the classroom

Vivid videos can be used to convey topics such as insect mortality, ancient grains, social media, food influencers, and digital debates in an exciting way. They bring science and media skills to life and make them directly applicable in the classroom.
