Before enrollment, a statutory health insurance provider must send a digital notification of your insurance status to the University of Hohenheim.
This step is not necessary if you are already enrolled at the University of Hohenheim.
Are you insured with a statutory health insurance company?
Your insurance certificate will be sent electronically directly to the University of Hohenheim by your statutory health insurance provider. To do this, please request the "Meldegrund 10 für Uni Hohenheim" from your health insurance company. The chip card/EHIC or a written membership certificate cannot be accepted.
Are you privately insured?
Then a statutory health insurance provider must send an electronic notification directly to the University of Hohenheim that you are not covered by statutory health insurance. To do this, please request the "Meldegrund 10 für Uni Hohenheim" from a statutory health insurance provider. The chip card/EHIC or a written certificate cannot be accepted.
Are you insured abroad?
Then a German statutory health insurance company must send an electronic notification directly to the University of Hohenheim that you are not covered by statutory health insurance in Germany. To do this, please request the "Meldegrund 10 für Uni Hohenheim" from a German statutory health insurance company. The chip card/EHIC or a written certificate cannot be accepted. Please note: The German statutory health insurance company can only send this notification to the University of Hohenheim if your foreign insurance is recognized. Otherwise, you must insure yourself in Germany.
As soon as the electronic notification from your health insurance provider has been received, you will receive a message in the application portal (on the homepage under "My notifications").
