While you study Biology at the University of Hohenheim, you will study your second teaching subject at the University of Stuttgart, the State Academy of Fine Arts, or the State University of Music. You will receive your pedagogical training at the Ludwigsburg University of Education and the Esslingen State Seminar for Didactics and Teacher Training. The B.Sc. program Biology (Teacher Program for Secondary Schools) offers students an extensive education in the fundamentals of natural science, as well as a close look at various exciting areas in the field of biology. Apart from theoretical knowledge transfer, a very important part of the program is learning how to put things into practice. Here in Hohenheim you benefit greatly from the close cooperation among the institutes of biology and the research teams. Furthermore, you receive theoretical and practical training in subject-specific pedagogy for biology teachers.
