The Nutritional Science Bachelor’s program deals with these and other exciting questions. Here you will learn which processes take place in the body during food intake, how food ingredients affect the body, and how nutrition influences long-term health. If you want to understand the complex relationships between nutrition and health, the research-oriented Nutritional Science degree program is just right for you. After graduating, you can work in various areas such as nutritional advice, research, or product development and thus actively contribute to promoting the health and quality of life of the population.

Studies

In the Bachelor’s degree program in Nutritional Science, you will deal with all phenomena related to human nutrition. The spectrum of topics ranges from the influence of food ingredients on cell and body functions and their analysis, to the interactions between microorganisms and food and people’s dietary behavior, to the role of nutrition in maintaining health and preventing and treating diseases. You will study topics such as human biology, biochemistry, clinical nutrition, dietetics, anatomy, physiology, food microbiology, molecular biology, nutritional psychology, and immunology. By choosing one of the three profiles – Applied Nutritional Science, Nutritional Biochemistry, or Food Quality – as well as a professional internship, you can set individual specializations in your studies.
